The answer is always a ‘no’

When you don’t negotiate your salary, you get whatever was on offer.

When you don’t put your hand up, the opportunity goes to somebody else.

When you don’t ask for help, you don’t usually receive any help.

When you don’t recognize your own achievements, chances are that other people won’t either.

We often expect the world to meet us halfway with satisfying our unspoken needs. Alas, that only works for babies.

When you don’t ask for something, the answer is always a ‘no’.
