The anchor

Doing the yogasana Vrikshasana (tree posture) requires you to balance on one foot. This can be a tall task for beginners. Like an inverted bottle, the body sways from side to side.

This problem has a simple, yet powerful remedy. You are required to look at one point in front of you as you perform the asana. Almost like magic, your ability to balance improves ten-fold! Focusing your vision on a single point serves as an anchor for the rest of your body.

Once you have a single-minded vision, it turns into the center of gravity for the rest of your life.
