It’s not as important

What you are looking at always seems more important than it actually is.

An email demands to be attended to at the cost of everything else. So do dinging doorbells, ringing telephones and the unopened letters in your mailbox.

Buying a smartphone is like being handed a full shopping cart when you enter a store. The nagging notification. The blaring billboard. The hollering headline. The pestering popup. All of these are turned on by default.

Empty it and add only what you need.
