A few days ago, I wrote about shadows that are hidden from our eyes.
The shadow of pleasure is pain.
The shadow of attachment is longing.
The shadow of indulgence is craving.
The shadow of experience is memory.
Yet, some things, like a clear pane of glass, do not cast a shadow. The act of meditation and awareness, or the feelings of love or joy cast no shadow. They are complete in and of themselves and do not leave behind a trace on our psyche.
What’s more? You cannot have too much of those things.
